**What kind of residential projects do you work on?**


Studio Umilys designs gardens for private houses and villas in Brussels, Brabant Wallon and Brabant Flemish. We work on contemporary villas, renovated townhouses, country properties, second residences and large family gardens. Each project is treated as a complete landscape — not a decorative add-on to the house.


**Do you only design, or also coordinate the construction of the garden?**


We focus on landscape design and the curation of materials, plants and furniture. When clients need execution, we collaborate with Vert Val SRL — our parent company specialised in landscape construction — to ensure the design is built faithfully. This guarantees that the vision on paper becomes the reality on site.


**Can you also help select outdoor furniture for our garden?**


Yes. Our studio handles the complete landscape design and supports clients in selecting outdoor furniture through our network of Belgian and international editors. The furniture is treated as an extension of the landscape, not an accessory — proportions, materials and finishes must align with the architecture and the planting structure.


**Do you work in Brussels and Brabant Wallon?**


Yes. Studio Umilys is based in La Hulpe and operates across Brussels, Brabant Wallon and Brabant Flemish. We are particularly familiar with the local context of Lasne, Rixensart, Waterloo, La Hulpe, Wavre, Ottignies, Tervuren and the green communes around Brussels. We also accept selected projects elsewhere in Belgium and internationally.


**How long does a residential garden project take?**


From the first consultation to completion, expect 6 to 18 months for a typical residential project, depending on scope and season. The design phase (concept, plans, plant and furniture selection) usually takes 8 to 12 weeks. The construction phase varies with site complexity, hardscape work and the maturity of the plants chosen.
